* IMPACTS...At 3.0 feet, water is expected to reach backyards near 9th Street in North Beach, and could approach 9th Street. At 3.5 feet, yards are flooded near Charles Street and Williams Street in Solomons. Nearby parking lots and the streets themselves are covered by more than a half foot of water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. The next high tide at Chesapeake Beach is at 3:08 PM and 3:21 AM. The next high tide at Solomons Island is at 1:15 PM and 1:39 AM.

* WHERE...Queen Annes, Talbot and Caroline.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...At this level, flooding begins on the most vulnerable roads in bayside communities and along tidal waterways. Some partial or full road closures are possible.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Widespread minor tidal flooding could continue through Friday afternoon's high tide or perhaps longer.

What to do

A Coastal Flood Advisory means that minor tidal flooding is expected. Minor tidal flooding often results in some road closures. Usually, the most vulnerable roadways will flood.
